This month, for a limited time only, eBay are offering private sellers the chance to list their items on eBay with no insertion fees – meaning you only pay when you sell.
So now’s the perfect time to have a clear out of all those items cluttering up your house and any unwanted gifts left over from Christmas. Here’s all you need to know about this offer from eBay and how to make the most of it!
What are eBay’s usual fees for selling?
For private sellers (anyone who is not a business or Power seller) eBay usually gives you the chance to list 20 items per month without having to pay any insertion fees. After this, any items that you list for sale on eBay, whether it’s an auction or a “Buy it now” listing, will be charged at £0.35 each.
Throughout the month of January 2016, eBay are offering private sellers the chance to list more items, without having to pay insertion fees.
You’ll still have to pay the 10% final value fee charged by eBay if the items sells, and if you want to upgrade your listing in any way, then usual fees still apply to these.
Who can use eBay’s 0 insertion fees offer?
This offer is only available to private sellers on eBay who are registred as residents in the UK, so business sellers and power sellers unfortunately don’t qualify.
When does the 0 insertions fees end?
The offer is on throughout January 2016 and ends at 23:59 on Sunday 31st January 2016.
Are there any restrictions?
There are a few restrictions and exclusions on this offer that you should be aware of:
• The 0 insertion fees does not apply to anything listed in the Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles category and the Property category.
• The items you’re selling must comply with eBay’s general listings policies.
• Any items which are automatically re-listed (after failing to sell) won’t qualify for the offer.
For more information, eBay has published their full terms and conditions for the offer which you can view here: eBay no insertion fees offer.
