Parcel delivery to Somalia

With the longest coastline on mainland Africa, Somalia is a country found in the Horn of Africa and has a mix of landscapes. Hot year-round with irregular rainfall and monsoon winds, it struggled with instability and mismanagement for over 20 years before a government was installed in 2012. Created in 1960 when an Italian colony and British protectorate merged, it has seen slow development and fractured relations with its neighbours. Previously known for piracy and Islamist insurgency, the country is becoming more confident again and enjoying small growth, although the areas of Puntland and Somaliland now govern their own affairs. Of its more than $500 million of exports, livestock, sugar refining, textiles, bananas, fish, charcoal and scrap metal are the major players, and the transport much of it to the Middle East. As an underdeveloped country, it doesn’t have the capacity for much tourism and not many people travel the 2,000 miles from the UK. This means that finding parcel delivery to Somalia is difficult.
