Ahh, the summer bank holiday. The long weekend offering one final fling before the onset of drizzly dark nights and the start of a brand-spanking new school term. And if you're thinking of sending anything around these dates, whether it's a wedding present or a new school satchel, you'll want to make sure it gets there right on time. So here's everything you need to know to make sure you don't miss the boat.1) Monday, Monday. When to get your parcels sent this bank holidayRemember most couriers won't be delivering on Monday 29th August, so if your parcel needs to get there urgently, aim to have it delivered for Friday 26th August. So get it wrapped up right now, following our packaging guidelines, of course. Also, if your parcel is collected by a courier on Friday 26th, or dropped off over the bank holiday weekend, be aware it'll take a little longer than usual for delivery as most couriers are kicking back and shooting the breeze on bank holiday Monday. And who can blame them?2) My parcel delivery opening hoursAnd come to think of it, here at My Parcel Delivery we're also taking a well-earned break on bank holiday Monday. Our offices will be closed all day on Monday 29th August, but if you need to get in touch with our customer service team, leave us a message and we'll get back to you on Tuesday 30th August. Or type in your query via the Help button at the bottom of the page, where you will also see all our FAQs answered. So whatever you're planning on sending, make sure you don't fall foul to the holiday and end up with some serious bank holiday blues. Nobody wants that.
