No Printer Required
There is no printer required when you use AJG. If you can’t print a label then simply write the recipient’s name, address and the MPD number onto the parcel.

Couriers spot on time
Ensure that you weigh and measure your parcel for your quote after it has been packaged to avoid any additional charges. AJG will re-measure and weigh your parcel on arrival at the sorting depot. HINT a piece of A4 paper is 29.5cm x 21cm.
Your parcel will need to be collected and delivered by a courier who does all of the fetching and carrying. Protect their back by marking any parcel over 25kg as heavy.
Use marker pen to clearly write your collection and delivery address onto the parcel and don’t forget to also write that all-important MPD booking reference. If you have access to a printer then we still recommend you do this in case the label falls off – it’s always best to be prepared!
What are the steps for collection?
All you need to do is have your parcel packaged and ready to go, print your label and attach it to the parcel. If you don’t have a printer then don’t worry! All you need to do is write your name, collection address, delivery address and MPD reference reference clearly in marker pen onto the outside of your parcel. What could be easier?
What time will the courier arrive for a collection?
The AJG parcel collection window is between 8am and 6.30pm so please arrange your collection for a day when you can stay at the address between these times. The window may be extended during busy periods such as Christmas when many more parcels are sent every single day.
Can I leave the item outside for the courier to pick up if I am not at home?
Our motto is safety first! Keep your parcel (and yourself!) protected by handing your parcel directly to the AJG courier, they will not collect it from outside your home.
What happens if my item is too big or heavy?
The maximum parcel length permitted is 160cm and maximum weight is 30kg. The courier may refuse to collect oversized or overweight parcels. If they do choose to collect them there may be surcharges that you would be liable for and we certainly wouldn’t want that!
On arrival at the sorting depot your parcel will be re-measured and weighed to confirm the size and weight are as stated when booking your delivery. Any discrepancies in size or weight could incur a surcharge so please ensure you have inputted the dimensions accurately. If you haven’t got anything to measure your parcel with then take a look at our guide to weighing and measuring and remember…. if in doubt it’s best to be generous with your estimations!
What are prohibited and restricted items?
Prohibited items, such as aerosol cans, furs and liquids are not permitted to be sent by any courier you book with through My Parcel Delivery. Other items can be sent but are not eligible for the compensation cover. These restricted items include ceramics, assembled furniture and white goods.

When will my item be delivered?
The AJG parcel delivery window is the same as the collection window - between 8am and 6.30pm. Please ask the recipient to be available throughout the day so that your parcel has the best chance to be delivered on time. The delivery window may be extended during busy periods such as Christmas when many more parcels are sent every single day.
What happens if nobody is at home when the courier arrives to deliver the item?
If no one is home when the courier arrived to deliver the parcel they will leave a calling card. If a neighbour is home they may leave your parcel with them and will tell you this on the card, if not details on how to obtain your parcel will be on the calling card.
What should I do if my parcel isn't collected?
While the vast majority of parcels are collected from your address on the very first attempt, every so often collections fail to occur and we're really sorry about this. AJG are not able to offer a guaranteed collection date. Covering the Highlands and Islands is tricky business but we assure you they do everything in their power to knock on your door on the estimated date. Whether your courier ran out of time, or the courier arrived but the parcel was not available, contact us to reschedule your collection.
What do I do if my parcel fails to be delivered?
Overall, our courier partners have a huge 95% success rate with their deliveries. While most deliveries go without a hitch, occasionally things can go wrong and AJG aren't able to guarantee delivery dates. Anything from heavy traffic and road closures to accidents and bad weather can affect the courier's route and their ability to deliver on time, and this effect is felt even more in the far corners of the Highlands and Islands. If this happens to you we're sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll keep you up to date by the tracking but you can contact us if you need help to reschedule your service for a different day.
