How to use a courier service

Is this the first time you're using My Parcel Delivery to send a parcel? Don't worry, our step-by-step guide tells you everything you need to know.

Measure your parcel and pop the details into the quote form

All you have to do is fill in where your parcel is going, and tell us how big (and heavy!) it is, and we'll do the rest. We scour the services of more than a dozen couriers to get you the best deal.

HINT: Make sure you are accurate with the weight and dimensions you enter to avoid any extra charges down the line, if in doubt be generous! It you don't have a tape measure or scales, try using our guide to weighing and measuring.

Choose the service that's right for you

Take a look through all the options and choose the one that's right for you. Whether you're looking for extra security, a guaranteed signature or just to use your favourite courier, we're sure we can find one that fits.

HINT: Don't be surprised when the quotes are cheaper than elsewhere, we've negotiated some big discounts on your behalf.

Drop off your parcel, or wait in for collection

Once you've booked your courier and got your parcel ready, all you need to do is wait for the courier to collect, or drop it off at your nearest drop off point. Your courier will come to the collection address anytime between 8am and 8pm so please make sure you are at the address all day.

HINT: If you can't wait in for the full day, choose a drop-off service? There are thousands of drop-off points nationwide whether you choose DPD, CollectPlus, Hermes or Parcelforce.

Track that parcel

Every single service from My Parcel Delivery can be tracked every step of the way from doorstep collection to direct delivery. Simply use your booking reference number which we'll send right after your booking is complete, and then you can find out exactly where your parcel is.

HINT: Your tracking number will look something like: MPD1234-5678-1 and you can find the tracking page right here.

Job done!

And that's it – your parcel will be delivered by the courier and we'll even send you an email to let you know when it has arrived safe and sound.
