Collection Day

Your parcel collection time can be as early as 8am and as late as 8pm so always arrange it for a day when you can stay at the address to avoid a delay in your delivery, or choose a drop-off service instead. A missed collection can add a day (or more!) onto the delivery date and we certainly wouldn't want that!

Address Labels

Whether you choose a label required or printer-less service we always recommend that you clearly write your name, collection address, delivery address and MPD booking reference on the outside of your parcel – no matter what happens to the label, your parcel can find its way home!

Safety Assurance

Our motto is safety first, so all of our next day delivery services require your parcel to be given to the recipient, rather than left in a safe place. So please make sure the recipient will be available all day too!

Heavy Loads

Your parcel will be collected and delivered next day by a courier who does all of the fetching and carrying and you can send up to 30kg in any one parcel! Protect their back by marking any parcel over 25kg as heavy.

How soon can I have my parcel collected?

Once you have placed your order, your parcel can be collected within just a few hours if you choose our MPD Next Day service but but don't leave it too late to book as you could miss the collection cut-off at 11am. The couriers have thousands of parcels to collect and deliver every single day and we certainly wouldn't want you to miss out!

My parcel is bigger/heavier than allowed, can I still send it?

Of course! If your parcel is longer than 150cm or heavier than 30kg you have a few options to choose from

  1. Repackage your items into 2 or more parcels that fit.
  2. Choose same day delivery with CitySprint and you could send enough to fill a van depending on the option you book. What's more you could have your parcel collected within 60 minutes in most cases – perfect for those urgent deliveries.

What are prohibited and restricted items?

Prohibited items, such as passports, waste and currency are not permitted to be sent by any courier you book with My Parcel Delivery. Other items are able to be sent but aren't eligible for compensation cover as they are restricted. These restricted items include clocks, jewellery and mirrors. Find a full list of prohibited & restricted items here but if you are unsure whether the contents of your parcel fall into either of these categories then you can simply contact us. Our friendly customer service team will be more than happy to help.

What should I do if my parcel isn't collected?

The majority of parcels are collected from your address on the very first attempt. Unfortunately, every so often, collections fail to occur and we're really sorry about this. None of the couriers can offer a guaranteed collection date, but we can assure you they do everything possible to knock on your door on the estimated date. Whether your specific courier ran out of time, or they arrived but the parcel wasn't ready, you can reschedule your collection.

What do I do if my parcel fails to be delivered?

Our courier partners enjoy a massive 95% success rate with their deliveries. That said, although most go without a hitch, occasionally things can go wrong and none of the couriers are able to guarantee their delivery dates. Anything from heavy traffic and road closures to accidents and bad weather can affect the courier's route and their ability to deliver on time. If this happens to you we're truly sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll email you to keep you up to date but you can contact us if you need help to reschedule your service for a different day.
